What kind of support do foster parents receive?
Foster parents receive extensive training, 24/7 support from a team of professionals, and access to therapeutic services for the child in their care. To help offset the cost of bringing a child into your home, NAFI provides foster parents with a monthly stipend to assist with costs associated with food, clothing, school supplies, extracurricular activities, etc. Families also participate in support groups where they can connect with one another, share experiences, and learn from each other. We are committed to providing ongoing resources to ensure foster families have the tools they need to succeed.
Can I foster a child if I work full-time or have other children?
Yes! Many of our foster parents work full-time or have their own children. We provide the support and flexibility to ensure your family can thrive while meeting the needs of the child in your care.
